Many thanks to Awesome Bronwen for pointing out that these little delectables are wood sorrels (not just any-old-sorrels). I was able to find them in Edible & Medicinal Plants (available at www.wildmanstevebrill.com).

Ever since we visited you, Ivy is obsessed with wood sorrels! I am forever trying to make an on-the-spot decision about whether her latest find is too close to a dog-pee soaking or an insecticide/herbicide spray. She wants to eat them all!
